Professional Societies

IEEE

Founded in 1946, IEEE is the largest of the 36 societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).The Society is dedicated to advancing the theory, practice, and application of computer and information processing technology. Through its conferences, applications-related and research-oriented journals, local and student chapters, distance learning campus, technical committees, and standards working groups, the Society promotes an active exchange of information, ideas, and technological innovation among its members. For further development of activities, TERNA ENGINEERING COLLEGE, has formed this IEEE council, which initiates forums like, workshop, tutorial and industrial visits. The collective effort of the various cells has seen students from electronics emerge as pioneers in this field and being absorbed in top-notch jobs in the industry.

Computer Society Of India (CSI)

CSITEC is the name of Terna Engineering College's student chapter of the            Computer Society of India (Navi Mumbai). CSITEC was created in order to promote educational activities in this college, that are not a part of the academic curriculum, yet, are vital for grooming and nurturing a student to help him come to terms and keep pace with the fast-evolving IT industry. CSITEC aims to bridge the gap between the students and the industry. The students responded to this idea with a great deal of enthusiasm, and the initial turnout of CSI members amounted to a whopping 300! Its is this enthusiasm and energy that propels this chapter's growth and its activities
