LITOTEC- GENESIS OF FUN LEARNING.

Magazine department broke the stereotypical rules: 1)People rush to go home after the college. 2)Learning and fun can’t easily mix together. 3)Learning payback time is high through its one of the official channel Litotec. Litotec is the literature club of the College Magazine Department where every Thursday fun events are held in the Language lab(314) from 3pm to 4 pm. Litotec mixed the Learning part and fun together by giving the students the power to choose the winners and also by picking hot and trending topics like demonetizations. Litotech conducted on 9th March witnessed a total attendance of 28 people. Also the winners were given free certificates chosen from its sub main event. LITOTEC IS BASICALLY BY THE STUDENTS, FOR THE STUDENTS AND OF THE STUDENTS. The litoetc usuall has 2 parts: 1)Warm-up event: A small game to keep everyone’s spirits high. 2)Big event:This event is longer than the Warm-up event and also has the lion’s share in deciding the winners. On 9th March the Warm-up event was to speak words related to a given word by the fellow student in circular fashion. Those who took the longest time was eliminated. Big event was the Group Debate where the hot topic was demonetization where the people were split into 2 group, for and against. The debate had its heated moments but was carried out with the sportsmanship spirit. The winners for the event where chosen by the participants by using Democracy. The event concluded with the future promises of doing better in the next time.------TUSHAR KAMBLE
            

Word Mouth

The "Word mouth" event was held in Terna Engineering College by the Magazine Committee on 2nd of march. The even started at 03:07pm.The judge was Deshmukh Sir from the staff of the Terna Engineering College. There were more than twenty five participants who participated in the word mouth event. The main aim of this event was to exercise the ability to fluently recall the word. In the event many words were given to the participants. With these given words,participants had to make as many small words as they can. The rule in this event was no repetition of letter which proved to be a challenge for the participants. There were two rounds in this event.After the first round, those groups which scored above fifty points got qualified for the second round.The participants turned out to be really good in this event,hence the organizers decided to keep a third round for deciding a winner. After the third,the winners were Ms.Aliva from computer branch and the runner-ups were Ms.Sippora and Mr.Rohit from computer and electronic and telecommunication branch respectively.--------------AAMOD THAKUR AND MADHURI ADDAGTLA
            

THE QUIZ COMPETITION - SHOWCASE YOUR G.K

For the first time in the history of Terna Engineering College, Magazine event “ THE QUIZ COMPETITION was held on 2nd of March 2017 to provide students a chance to showcase their GENERAL KNOWLEDGE and how updated they are.The programme was scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. It was a individual event where around 15 students participated and they showed their skills with great interest. Also they were very rapid for answering. After the presentation, the winners were announced by the respective judge. The criteria for judgement were – there were 2 rounds . From 1st round top 10 were selected for 2nd round and from 2nd round top 3 winners were chosen. 1st winner was GHANASHYAM WANI from Mechanical and runner ups were LAL KISHORE MAITY from Mechanical and KISHNU SADANANDA from again Mechanical. The program was huge entertaining and proved to be a good confidence building exercise.---------VAISHNAVI KSHIRSAGAR
            

Creative Writing

Fill your paper with the beats of your heart. This year Terna Engineering College's Magazine committee organized some fun intra-college literary events for the students during the cultural fest 'Resonance'. One such event was 'Creative Writing' which was held on 28th of february from 9:30-11:00am. A total of 24 participants participated in this event. In this Creative Writing event,the participants were given a set of words by the organizers, using which they had to write a short story or an essay in either english,hindi or marathi language. This event helped the participants to explore their minds to bring out creative thoughts on the page in a limited time. There was only one round in this event. The participants came up with some brilliant write-ups which were quite interesting and entertaining. These participants were judged by our very own Ms. Bhavna Shrivastav ma'am. The winners of this event were Ms.Mayuri Bokade and Ms.Swati Ramchandran from EXTC department. The first runner ups were Mr.Aniket Date from ELEX department and Ms.Surbhi Thakare from IT department. Mr.Abhishek Gangule from EXTC department and Mr.Omkar Lubal from IT department were the second runner ups of this event.------------------------------PRANALI DHAGE AND MADHURI ADDAGTLA
            

THE JUST A MINUTE EVENT

Just a minute was held on 3rd March 2017 to provide students to show their speaking skills and also their ideas or views on the topics given to them. The participants were given different on the spot topics. The event was scheduled 9:30-10:30 a.m. with the participation of 13 participants. Participants came up with innovative ideas as well as good messages for society through their verbal speaking skills. Maximum time was 1 minutes and the criteria for judgement were - content, voice, body language and overall appeal. Afterwards the winners were announced by the respective judge. Priyanka Sakhare stood in first position. Second position was won by Asmita Patil. Pooja Patil stood in third position. The program was highly entertaining and proved to be a good confidence building exercise.---------NEHA GOSAVI
            

THE EXTEMPORE EVENT

Extempore was held on 3rd March 2017 to provide students to show their speaking skills and also their ideas or views on the topics given to them. The participants were given different on the spot topics and were provided 5 mins time for the preparation in any one language (English, Hindi, Marathi). The event was scheduled 2-3 p.m. with the participation of 13 participants. Participants came up with innovative ideas as well as good messages for society through their verbal speaking skills. Maximum time was 5 mins and the criteria for judgement were - content, voice, communication skills, body language and overall appeal. Afterwards the winners were announced by the respective judge. Mayank Sardeshmukh stood in first position. Second position was won by Priyanka Sakhare. Krishit Lokhande and Aniket Nawale stood in third position. The program was highly entertaining and proved to be a good confidence building exercise.-------SNEHA DWIVEDI
